Israeli Army Orders Evacuation of Beirut Suburbs Ahead of Airstrikes
According to reports, an evacuation notice was issued via social media by military spokesperson Avichay Adraee, who urged civilians in the targeted neighborhoods to leave “for their own safety.”
The warning followed directives from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordering strikes in Beirut’s southern suburbs, with officials citing alleged repeated violations of the ceasefire by Hezbollah, which came into effect on April 17.
According to reports, the escalation comes amid continued tensions and intermittent hostilities despite the ceasefire framework intended to reduce violence.
The Lebanese Health Ministry stated that Israeli operations since March 2 have resulted in more than 3,400 deaths across the country, underscoring the scale of the ongoing conflict.
