Israeli Airstrikes Hit Southern Lebanon Despite Ceasefire Talks

(MENAFN) Israeli fighter jets launched multiple attacks across southern Lebanon on Monday evening, even as discussions continued regarding a possible halt in hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah following efforts announced by US President Donald Trump.

According to reports, one of the strikes targeted the town of Bazouriyeh in the Tyre district.

Additional air raids were reported in the towns of Siddiqine and Yater, located in the Tyre and Bint Jbeil areas respectively.

Reports also indicated that Israeli aircraft struck Mansouri and Bayt al-Sayyad, both situated south of Tyre.

No immediate reports were released regarding deaths or injuries resulting from the strikes.

Earlier in the day, Trump stated that Israel and Hezbollah had reached an understanding aimed at ending attacks between the two sides.
